I went bowling this afternoon at Lucky Strike. I feel extra special because they have this red pin deal, where every so often they place a red pin in with the other pins. The deal is if the red pin ends up in the #1 pin position and you get a strike, you win. So as you can imagine (why else would I be blogging about this right?) I get a fresh set of pins and the red pin is right there in front. Everyone watches me bowl… and BAM! strike baby!!! I went over and got the bowling guy dude, and he told me I won a special prize. So here’s what I won…
2 free hours of bowling for 16 people
free rental shoes
free chips and salsa
Who wants to go bowling? I need to use the certificate in the next 30 days. Oh yeah… I bowled a 144 which is pretty good for me.

Here’s the slideshow from Jessica and Jason’s wedding from this past weekend (you need to click on the picture to see the slideshow). I had a great time photographing everything. Everyone thought it was going to be cold and rainy, but it turned out to be a great day. A lot of sun and warm temperatures pretty much all afternoon. Let me know your thoughts on the slideshow. Also, feel free to leave a shout out to the bride and groom in the comments section.

I was really excited today because my work is featured in the May issue of Chicago Social magazine. I have about 9 or 10 pictures in one of their Chicago Scene sections. Check it out when you have a second.

I don’t consider myself to be a metrosexual, but every now and then I feel myself getting excited about things your average man should not get excited about. So about a week ago I was listening to the Steve Dahl show (if you’re from Chicago, then you know who I’m talking about) and a listener randomly called in about shaving. He worked in a barber shop and said if a guy was looking to get a really good shave, there are 2 essential things he should do –
1) First… run some hot water over your face (I already knew this so it wasn’t a surprise to hear it)
2) Then, once you start shaving, switch to using ice cold water to rinse your blade
And that’s it… the first time I did it, I noticed a big difference. So all you guys out there.. give it a shot the next time you shave and let me know how it goes. Girls… not sure if it will work on you but you might as well try. And that’s it for my metrosexual tip of the day. I am now off to chop some wood, mow the lawn and go drink a six pack of Budweiser in an attempt to get my manhood back.
